Armed Forces Employer Engagement

Posted on Tuesday 12th July, 2016 by

This is an invitation to an Armed Forces Employer Engagement Event at Brompton Barracks, Chatham, on 19th July 2016, with Colonel Andrew Barr, Deputy Commander 11 Infantry Brigade. Timings for this event are 10.30-14.30 hours.

Our aim is to promote greater awareness and understanding of the Army, and to do this we invite as wide an audience as we can. As a local employer, you are an influential figure within your business and community; or you might be a key opinion former. But whatever your background the British Army is your Army, so our aim is to give you a better understanding of what we do. One thing to stress is that we particularly welcome attendance from those who have little or no previous knowledge of their Army.

The main part of the event will be a presentation on “Your Army in the South East” given by the 11 Infantry Brigade Engagement Team representing the Commander of 11th Infantry Brigade. After a short reception we will deliver the presentation, followed by a visit to demonstrations of Regular and Reserve Army capabilities and then have an opportunity to ask questions in an open forum. The day will conclude with a light lunch and a chance to meet members of the Regular and Reserve Army, many of whom will be from Kent.

This is an invitation-only event, but we would be delighted for you to bring along a work colleague, or to send a representative if you cannot attend.  If you can attend please reply via e-mail to Nicola Harris at se-empspasst@rfca.mod.uk by Friday 8th July 16. If you would like more information about the event, please call our team. Further information will be forwarded to you nearer the event once we have your details.
