Accountants and business advisers Kreston Reeves have crowned Daisy Hart ‘student of the year’, whilst recognising Nathan Brearly and Eden Reynolds as runners up, in their annual award that celebrates the extraordinary talent of its people in professional training.

Daisy joined Kreston Reeves in 2019 in a temporary position in its administration and front of house team. Today, she is on the verge of qualifying as a chartered accountant specialising in charity finance and audit.

In addition to securing excellent grades in her accountancy exams, Daisy also sits on the executive committee of the Kreston Reeves Foundation, the firm’s charitable body, and is a trustee of an animal sanctuary in Kent.

On receiving the award, Daisy said: “This is an enormous surprise and a real honour, even more so because it is based on nominations from my colleagues. My team at Kreston Reeves has been really supportive throughout my training, encouraging me to get involved in many different initiatives.

“The ACA qualification has been challenging but also very rewarding. I am really proud to have almost made it through all of the exams.”

Kreston Reeves, a certified B Corp and Ofsted accredited training provider, is recognised for its strong culture of developing and nurturing the best home-grown talent. Its annual ‘student of the year’ award is given to one of the firm’s rising stars in recognition of the contribution they have made to the firm.

Karen Thomspon, Head of Learning and Development, at Kreston Reeves said: “The firm takes pride in the training and development of its people. We currently have over 100 people working towards professional qualifications across the firm and every year we recognise their achievements.

“Daisy after graduating from university with a degree in business and finance almost gave up on accountancy as a career. We are glad she didn’t, and this award recognises her impressive achievements and contributions.”

Kreston Reeves are proud to continue to be one of few accredited ‘employer training providers’ within their sector, continuing to train and mentor the next generation of accountants through their student apprenticeship intake each year.
