The Largest Toffee Factory In The World!
Another icon of Kentish industry celebrated in our spirits is Edward Sharp, the founder of Edward Sharp and Sons Confectionary Ltd., more affectionately known locally as ‘the Sharp’s Factory’. The largest sweet factory in the world at the height of its operation, the Maidstone-based Sharp’s factory was infamous for the rich scent of toffee throughout the town. Awarded a Royal Warrant by Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, Sharp’s was the byword for excellence in confectionary. We are proud to have revived the Sharp’s brand with our lovingly hand-crafted Sharp’s Toffee Liqueur, a delicious and delectable toffee treat. Our rich and indulgent Sharp’s Toffee Liqueur celebrates the beloved Sharp’s Factory, whose dedicated staff are featured on the gorgeous label. We love welcoming guests into the Distillery who tell us all about their memories of the Factory.

More recently, we’ve been thrilled to work with some incredible local businesses to create bespoke spirits for their brands. Our partnership with Castle Farm, the UK’s largest producer of lavender oil, has been a joy, with the passion of the Castle Farm team infusing this spirit from concept to shelf. Our distillers were inspired by the love and romance that Castle Farm puts into their product, and we are incredibly proud of the finished spirit. Hand-finished and expertly-crafted, Castle Farm Lavender Gin is a wonderful expression of the Castle Farm brand, evocative of summer days spent among their awe-inspiring lavender fields and sold out within one week of launching! Available in 70cl, 20cl and 5cl miniature bottles, this product has become a staple for their gift-shop, corporate gifting options, and staff rewards.
