We are delighted to share that Brownbills Optometrists have been named the winners of “Practice Team of the Year” at the SightCare Awards!

SightCare is the UK’s largest association representing independent opticians and optometrists. We were one of four optical practices chosen from across the UK to receive the accolade from business support group SightCare for our dedication to eye care in our local community.

Brownbills Optometrists has been open for the eye care needs of the local community for over 100 years and we have continued to uphold a high standard of care for all that visit our practice.

Director & Practice Manager Mrs Helen Pinney said:

“We are absolutely delighted that the Brownbills team has won “Practice Team of the Year”. It is a testament to all the hard work they put in on a daily basis. As a Practice, we aim to make our patient’s world look spectacular, and for every patient to have an exceptional experience when they visit Brownbills. Our staff pride themselves on their teamwork and the level of patient care they offer. They all continually seek to develop their clinical and business knowledge, alongside going above and beyond for our patients on a daily basis. We know that it is because of our strong and committed team, where everyone plays an integral part in the patient journey, that we have patients who return to us year on year.”

SightCare said:

“We invited independent practices from across the UK to enter our awards and were delighted with the exceptional level of our entrants. We carefully selected our shortlisted practices based on their outstanding achievements for their community and their dedication to their craft. We are exceptionally proud of how independent optical practices have worked to keep the eyesight of their community safe during the pandemic, while also complying to the ever-changing regulations. They have shown not only great dedication to their small independent business, but to their local community.”

Director and Optician Dr Huw Pinney said:

“We enjoyed attending the SightCare Conference, which gave us the opportunity to celebrate and say thank you to our fantastic staff team and recognise their successes, both individually and as a whole, over the past year. We also want to acknowledge the support of all our patients, without whom this award nomination would not have been possible.”
