Brachers is celebrating its accreditation by Best Companies as a ‘very good’ place to work, recognising the firm’s high levels of employee engagement and commitment to creating a better workplace for its staff.

Best Companies is a leading employee engagement specialist and their accreditation programme is recognised as the standard for workplace engagement. The programme uses a data-driven methodology to score organisations, based on feedback from employees on eight workplace factors including leadership, personal growth, wellbeing and fair deal.

Organisations who achieve the highest levels of workplace engagement are accredited with ‘best company to work for’ status, with good levels achieving ‘one to watch’ status, very good levels achieving one star, excellent levels achieving two stars and world class levels achieving the highest accolade, three stars.

Brachers’ one-star status is the outcome of staff feedback on life at the firm, with 88% of staff saying they felt proud to work for the organisation, and the same percentage expressing they feel they make a valuable contribution to the success of the firm.

The accreditation also comes almost exactly a year after the firm invested in refurbishing its Maidstone offices to create a more welcoming, inclusive and productive workplace for staff. The offices were transformed into a modern, open-plan layout with dedicated collaboration and social spaces, driven by an emphasis on fostering a space where staff feel happy and able to work effectively and efficiently.

Joanna Worby Managing Partner, said: “At Brachers, our greatest asset is our people. Being recognised as a ‘very good’ place to work is testament to the vibrant and inclusive culture that we have nurtured here and which each of our employees contribute to every day. We’re committed to creating a workplace where collaboration and innovation thrive and employees feel empowered to reach their potential. This accreditation affirms we are on the right track and inspires us to continue listening to our staff and striving for excellence.”

Michelle Perry, HR Director, said: “Our accreditation reflects our commitment to create a truly exceptional employee experience. We’re very proud of the initiatives we’ve implemented which support professional development and protect and enhance the wellbeing of our staff. We’ve also worked hard to amplify our employees’ voices, including through the Best Companies b-Heard survey. We’re determined to build on the feedback from our staff to make Brachers an even better place to work, where everyone can thrive and feel valued.”
