About Turner Contemporary

Based in Margate, Turner Contemporary present an ever-changing programme of free exhibitions by international artists exploring current issues and ideas. Offering art, events, and workshops to inspire everyone.

Since 2011 they’ve hosted over 72 exhibitions and more than 387 international artists to our home in Margate. Contributing more than £100million to the local economy by welcoming 4.5million visitors.  All for free. Art should be for everybody, so all our exhibitions are free to visit. We also offer free family and public workshops, activities, and events throughout the year alongside our paid offering, which helps fund our work in the community. Building a sense of belonging by bringing art, people, and place together.

Bookings will remain open until the event itself, but please note that if you book with less than 24 hours to go, your name won’t be on the “List of Attendees” or the “Signing in Sheet” and you won’t have a “Name Badge” on arrival.
