21 Together Chamber Charity of the Year Showcase and Networking at the Orida Hotel

Join us for our Chamber Charity Showcase. We are delighted to have 21 Together as our chosen Chamber Charity of the Year. We will be celebrating this partnership by hosting a showcase networking event at the Orida Hotel in Maidstone who also have 21 Together as their chosen charity of the year. During the course of this event, we will be learning more about 21 Together’s operations and the fantastic work they do. You will also have the option to take part in some Makaton Signing training to showcase an element of what they do with people with Down’s syndrome.

Makaton is a language programme that uses signs, symbols, and speech to help individuals with communication difficulties, such as those with learning disabilities, autism, or other communication needs.

This event will take place from 10:30am – 12:00pm and will consist of the talk from the 21 Together CEO John Keeley, which will be followed by the option of a Makaton Signing session. The 21 Together team will be around for the entirety of the event so you will have the chance to show your support and ask any questions to them. After the talk and session from 21 Together, there will be a chance to network with the charity and our other members in attendance.

About 21 Together: 

21 Together is here to provide support for children and young people with Down’s syndrome as well as the family members, carers, friends, and professionals supporting them.

For the last nine years, we have delivered a range of social, educational wellbeing and community support programmes for children and young people with Down’s syndrome and their families. Our aim is simple: we believe that every person with Down’s syndrome has the right to live a happy, rich and fulfilling life.

Our specialist services provide the tools for the community to help realise their potential.
