Building on Solid Foundations is about bridging the gap between Home Owners and Contractors.

Home owners get great experience on their home improvement taking away the fear of working with builders by delivering proven systems, processes and methods based on our own experience and lessons as we have been through the stresses and strains personally so we can meet expectations and vision.

Contractors get full detail of the project so they prepare well and can be more accurate with their pricing. They have support from our consultants to help communicate changes or unforeseens with proven systems, processes and methods to bring the project to a successful conclusion.

I had the pleasure of attending the PPN Leamington event where Dan delivered a captivating talk on construction and mindset within the property industry. Through sharing his personal experiences and the mental challenges he faced as a property investor, Dan provided valuable insights on overcoming obstacles by adopting a growth mindset and pursuing one's goals. His talk was delivered in an engaging and relatable manner, incorporating real-life examples and offering a practical blueprint for success. It left me inspired and convinced that, with initiative, I too can reach similar heights in my own journey.

We've done a few refurbs before but we decided to call on Dan's experience and expertise as we embarked on our biggest project yet. It was a wreck of a house that needing stripping right back to brick and we were also adding a loft en-suite and a ground floor extension.

Dan visited the property with us and provided some great insights into what to look out for, potential pitfalls and how to make best use of what is ultimately a small terraced house. He then helped us interrogate the quotes we got from builders which were varying in price massively. Once we settled on a preferred build team we were able to negotiate down on the price based on some of the insights Dan had shared with us.

Ultimately, the savings Dan made for us on our build quote more than covered his fee. But what was more important to us was having the peace of mind that we were tackling our biggest project yet in the right way.

We engaged Dan to help us project manage a moderately complex property development. He drew up detailed plans for the work and helped us oversee the work completed by the main contractor. However, the project took a drastic turn for the worse when our contractor abandoned the job after he got into financial difficulty. This left us with a property that was completely stripped out with minimal works completed and no builders to finish it.

Dan was instrumental - and absolutely invaluable - in helping us rescue the project and he guided us, step by step, as we took on the daunting task of engaging and managing multiple trades to pick up the incomplete work and see the project through to successful completion. Dan went above and beyond the scope of the initial brief and hand held us through the pitfalls of a multi-discipline, complete refurbishment as we converted a 4 bed family home over 4 floors into a 6 bed, all en-suite HMO.

Dan's knowledge, experience, attention to detail, patience, care for his clients and willingness to go above and beyond helped us turn around a situation that had the potentially disastrous financial consequences into totally successful project that now provides us with a great income. He was generous with his time and advice and was a calming influence in a time of great stress. We can't thank him enough.
