International Business Travel Survey – Kent County Council

19th October 2023
Paul Brooks

A survey has been launched to find out how a pause on Eurostar services in Kent has affected businesses.

The service linking the UK to Europe has not stopped at Ashford or Ebbsfleet since March 2020 and Eurostar has said it may not resume services in Kent until 2025.

The survey will promote the case for international rail services to resume in the County.

As a business community we need all the advantages we can gain to drive economic growth. Without easy access to international rail services from Kent, business, trade, and investment with our neighbouring international markets is more costly and time-consuming.

We would urge all businesses concerned about the current lack of international rail services in Kent to take this opportunity and give 10 minutes of their time to respond to the survey. It is vital, as businesses, that we support the campaign by the Councils to make the case for a return of international rail services.
