MegaGrowth 50 Is Back For 2027 – Celebrating Kent businesses

Applications are now open for MegaGrowth 50, the annual ranking that recognises the 50 fastest-growing companies across Kent. Now in its 23rd year, the programme shines a spotlight on ambitious businesses that are driving economic growth, creating employment opportunities and contributing to the long-term success of the county.

This year’s theme, “Built for What’s Next”, celebrates businesses that are not only achieving impressive growth today but are also laying the foundations for future success. In a constantly evolving business environment, Kent’s leading companies are demonstrating the resilience, innovation and strategic vision needed to adapt, evolve and prosper.

Being built for the future means different things to different businesses. For some, it means investing in technology, developing their people and expanding into new markets. For others, particularly Kent’s many family-owned and owner-managed businesses, it also means planning for leadership succession, nurturing the next generation and ensuring that the business can continue to thrive for years to come.

Increasingly, it also means taking a long-term view of sustainability. Whether through embedding environmental and social responsibility into business operations, strengthening governance and decision-making, investing in local communities, or building more resilient business models, Kent’s most successful companies recognise that sustainable growth is about creating lasting value for customers, employees and stakeholders alike.

Kent has long been home to a diverse and entrepreneurial business community, with organisations of all sizes making a significant contribution to the local and regional economy. MegaGrowth 50 recognises those businesses that are leading the way, showcasing the ambition, innovation and sustained growth that continue to make Kent one of the UK’s most vibrant places to do business.

MegaGrowth 50 ranks privately owned businesses based on average turnover growth over the previous four years. Businesses with a minimum turnover of £1 million and a full set of accounts filed at Companies House are automatically considered, while organisations that do not file full accounts are invited to submit their figures for review.

MegaGrowth 50 is proudly delivered by Kreston Reeves and leading law firm Brachers, in collaboration with Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, bringing together organisations that share a commitment to supporting and celebrating business success across Kent.

Andrew Griggs, Senior Partner at Kreston Reeves, said:

“Kent’s business community has always been characterised by ambition, resilience and innovation. This year’s theme, ‘Built for What’s Next’, recognises those businesses that are not only achieving outstanding growth but are also investing in their future. Whether that means developing the next generation of leaders, embracing new technologies, planning for succession, strengthening their approach to sustainability or expanding into new markets, these businesses are helping shape a strong and sustainable future for Kent’s economy. We are proud to celebrate their achievements through MegaGrowth 50.”

James Bullock, Head of Corporate and Commercial at Brachers, added:

“Working alongside businesses at every stage of their growth journey, we see first-hand the energy, resilience and ambition that exist across Kent’s business community. MegaGrowth 50 provides an opportunity to recognise those organisations that are achieving outstanding results while continuing to evolve, invest and build for the future. We are proud to support a programme that celebrates their success and shines a spotlight on the businesses helping to shape the future of Kent’s economy.”

Tudor Price, Chief Executive Officer of Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, said:

“Kent continues to be home to exceptional businesses that are creating jobs, investing in their communities and driving economic growth. MegaGrowth 50 provides an opportunity to celebrate these success stories and inspire others to grow and expand. The Chamber is proud to support the programme and help showcase the businesses that are building the future of Kent.”

How to apply

If you have filed a full set of accounts at Companies House in each of the last four years, you do not need to complete an application form as your figures will be reviewed automatically by the MegaGrowth 50 project team. Businesses that do not file full accounts can submit their figures for consideration via the application process.

Applications are free, and eligible businesses are encouraged to enter and gain recognition alongside some of Kent’s most successful growth companies. The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday 13th November.

The MegaGrowth 50 rankings will be published in the spring edition of Thinking Business magazine, with all ranked businesses invited to attend a celebratory breakfast to mark their achievement.
