Kent Businesses Encouraged to Have Their Say on KCC’s 2027–28 Budget Plans

Kent businesses are being encouraged to take part in Kent County Council’s (KCC) 2027–28 Budget Consultation and help influence future spending priorities across the county.

The consultation, which is open until Sunday 6th September 2026, invites feedback from residents and businesses on how public money should be spent, where savings could be made, and options for generating additional income.

KCC continues to face significant financial pressures, particularly in areas including adult and children’s social care, and is seeking views to help shape decision-making for the year ahead.

Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce is encouraging its members and the wider business community to participate in the consultation and ensure that the voice of business is represented in discussions around how local public services are funded and delivered.

Businesses are invited to share their views on:

  • Priorities for spending and savings across council services
  • Ideas for reducing costs and increasing income
  • Council Tax options for the coming year

The consultation closes on Sunday 6th September 2026.

Businesses can take part via the KCC consultation website and help inform the council’s budget planning for 2027–28.
