Who says you need to run a marathon to raise money for charity? Those looking for a more gentle way to fundraise are invited to experience ellenor’s Glorious Gardens this summer.
Glorious Gardens is a much-loved community event made possible by the incredible generosity of local garden owners, who open them to paying guests – who enjoy a lovely time whilst at the same time, help to raise money for hospice charity ellenor. Keen gardeners, nature lovers and anyone looking for an enjoyable day out to explore, be inspired, and enjoy the creativity, care, and tranquillity of each unique space is invited to just turn up.
Funds raised by the event help the hospice to continue providing compassionate care to patients and their families. Every visit helps make a real difference, supporting specialist care for people living with life-limiting illness, and their families too.
By strolling through these stunning gardens, enjoying the atmosphere, and sharing in the spirit of community, visitors are directly helping ellenor to care when it matters most.
Every garden opening is different – some offer a simple walk around, while others offer refreshments, a raffle, live music and of course, buying plants. Entry is £5 for adults, under 16s go free and assistance dogs are of course, welcome.
