Recreational Cycling
Cyclopark Charity in Gravesend is one of the UK’s leading traffic-free cycling venues, purpose-built for riders of all ages and abilities. It’s a year-round destination for families to enjoy healthy, active time together—whether you’re teaching a child to ride, building confidence on a bike, or just out for a relaxed pedal in safe surroundings.
The park offers a 2.5km closed road circuit, off-road mountain bike trails, a CycloLand skills zone, BMX track, skatepark, play areas, and an on-site café. Bike and helmet hire are available, so families can turn up and ride—no need to bring equipment. From balance bikes for toddlers to inclusive cycles for children and adults with additional needs, every rider is catered for.
Cyclopark Charity’s “Learn to Ride” sessions get children cycling independently in just one 50-minute lesson, whilst their inclusive “Cyclo4All” programme uses adaptive cycles to ensure everyone, regardless of ability, can experience the joy of cycling.
These community focussed activities reflect wider trends across the UK. A 2023 Sustrans report found that 48% of children cycle weekly, with 39% of rides for fun or to the park. Cyclopark Charity helps improve these numbers by providing a fun, safe, and pressure-free environment.
Whether it’s your child’s first bike ride or a weekend outing, Cyclopark Charity makes every day cycling easy, inclusive, and enjoyable for the whole family.
