As we adjust to home working and the ‘new normal’ of business life during COVID-19 lockdown, it is important to maintain virtual contact and continue to network with like-minded people.

Here at Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, we have partnered with Furley Page Solicitors to bring you virtual business networking events. Each event will have a different topic of conversation with a short expert led discussion followed by break out rooms, discussions and the opportunity to connect virtually. With attendee numbers restricted to 40, everyone has the opportunity to be heard.

This week’s topic will be ‘My Biggest Challenge…’ When in breakout rooms, each person has around 3 minutes to introduce themselves: just your name, what you do and your biggest challenge right now – personal or professional.

For our first Virtual Networking Breakfast event, we bring you Katie King from Zoodikers who will be discussing Leadership in a post COVID-19 world. Leaders in organisations of every shape and size now realise why it is imperative to up skill and be armed with the best tools and techniques to motivate staff, to retain existing clients/customers, to automate, and to secure business growth.

Author and management consultant, Katie King, will outline her tips for success, having spent 30 years advising organisations worldwide.

Delegates will learn:

  • How to future-proof and adapt to technology trends – using Katie’s Scorecard for Success
  • How to optimise social media and other tools to communicate with key stakeholders
  • How to develop and communicate your business purpose, and the importance of CSR

When in breakout rooms, each person has around 3 minutes to introduce themselves: just your name, what you do and your biggest challenge right now – personal or professional. Then you have the chance to either raise a question related to Katie’s talk, or discuss your own challenge in more depth. There is no pressure.  Our hosts will be hopping around the breakout rooms to help facilitate the discussions. Just treat it as an opportunity to make some new contacts and learn.
