*PLEASE NOTE* KMFG is now a CLOSED GROUP specifically set up to support the Manufacturing & Engineering organisations in Kent & Medway, including education providers.  There are a limited number of places available due to capacity restrictions and as a result of these constraints we are only accepting one representative per organisation at this specific event.

Booking via this webpage is an expression of interest and we will confirm your attendance via email. 

If we reach full capacity, a waiting list will be established, and those on the list will be notified accordingly.

Kent & Medway Manufacturing Focus Group (KMFG) is a networking and business group for Manufacturing & Engineering organisations across Kent and Medway offering a unique access to peers and colleagues, sector specific information, advice and support.

KMFG is open to all manufacturing and engineering organisations in Kent & Medway alongside education providers, whether they are chamber members or not.

Visit to MidKent College – University Centre Maidstone

Wednesday 24th June, 10.00am–12.00pm

Shaping Future Talent: KMFG at MidKent College

Join us for an exclusive KMFG visit to MidKent College’s University Centre Maidstone, offering a valuable opportunity to explore how education and industry are working together to develop the future workforce.

This visit will provide insight into the college’s specialist provision, skills development offer, and how they are supporting learners to progress into manufacturing, engineering and wider technical careers. You’ll also hear about how MidKent College engages with employers and supports collaboration to meet local skills needs.

Itinerary

  • 00am – Arrival, Refreshments & Networking
    Guests will be welcomed in the Skills Factory with tea, coffee and networking opportunities
  • 15am – Welcome & Introduction
    Welcome from Brad Austin, Stakeholder Engagement Manager at MidKent College, providing an overview of the college, its offer, and what to expect from the morning
  • 30am – Guided Tour of Facilities
    A tour of key learning environments and facilities across the campus including the Institute of Technology
  • 30am – Wrap Up & Networking
    Return to the Skills Factory for a short recap and further networking
  • 00pm – Depart

On Site Arrangements and Parking    

When arriving on site, there will be 3 places you can park. We have reserved parking at the UCM car park and the small car park directly in front of the main building. There are only 19 reserved spots for the day due to capacity. If there is not a parking spot in either of these spaces, please park in the bays along the road; they are all free to use. When parked, please report to the UCM reception, where you will be issued a visitor badge and brought to the space for refreshments and networking. Thank you.

Please note that MidKent College is a no-smoking site.
