At a time of much uncertainty for the economy and for business, there is more value than ever in local business leaders coming together to support each other and to exchange ideas and opportunities.

With this in mind, we stage a series of Kent Business Leaders Dinners that enable like-minded business owners and directors to gather in an informal and relaxed environment. Our next event will be held in The Great Hall at Priestfield Stadium, the home of Gillingham Football Club, on Wednesday 6th November. A drinks reception will be served from 5.30pm followed by a sumptuous dinner. Tickets are fully inclusive of an arrival drink, 3 course dinner, coffee and all wine, beer and soft drinks.

We are delighted that Brad Galinson, Chairman and Owner of Gillingham Football Club, will be ‘in conversation’ with our CEO, Tudor Price, after dinner exploring his highly successful business journey in the US, his leadership principles, the motivations behind the purchase of the Gills and his aspirations for the club.

We encourage all our guests to talk freely and to exchange opinions and ideas in a confidential and supportive environment. As a result, we ask guests to respect that this event is held under ‘Chatham House’ rules, hence no media representatives will be present.

Please note – we feel that, in these uncertain and challenging times, it is vital that our local business leaders come together in this way and that this event series should not be a profit driven activity hence the ticket price has been set at ‘cost’.

Keynote Speaker: Brad Galinson

Florida-based businessman Brad Galinson completed his takeover of Gillingham FC in December 2022, marking the end of Paul Scally’s 27-year leadership of the club.

Over the last 30 years, Brad Galinson has founded, grown and sold multiple businesses, from furniture manufacturing to airline travel services.  He also served as VP of Strategic Planning in the early stages of Barry Diller’s IAC, playing an instrumental role in sourcing, underwriting, financing and acquiring multiple businesses in the entertainment and technology spaces.  He was also the co-founder and CFO of a successful direct response e-commerce company.

As a founding partner and board member of a privately held multi-billion dollar Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), Brad has been responsible for developing strong relationships in the lending and institutional funding sectors.

For the REIT he has directly built and managed a highly efficient, tech-forward finance team responsible for accounting, billing,  lender compliance, tax matters and investor relations. Further, he has been the architect and driving force behind the company’s proprietary Revenue Management Software as well as the hands-on developer of multiple expense tracking and cost saving algorithms behind the company’s proprietary software.

He holds a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Starter

  • Smoked ham hock and chicken terrine served with homemade piccalilli & salad garnish
  • Three cheese, parmesan and truffle & tomato and mozzarella arancini served with marinara sauce (V)
  • Roasted celeriac soup served with bread roll (V/Ve)

Main Course

  • 24 hour slow cooked beef brisket served with horseradish mash, fine green beans & red wine jus
  • Herb-crusted baked cod with lemon butter sauce served with tender stem broccoli and garlic & herb roasted new potatoes.
  • Bell peppers stuffed with quinoa, black beans, corn, tomatoes & spices, topped with vegan cheese. (V/Ve)

Dessert

  • White chocolate and raspberry cheesecake served with raspberry coulis & fresh berries
  • Vegan passionfruit cheesecake served with vegan whipped cream & fresh passionfruit
  • Selection of local cheeses served with crackers, grapes & onion chutney
