Sector Group Eligibility Rules
- Committee Review
All requests to participate in the sector group will be reviewed by the KCFG Committee for approval. - Sector Relevance
Your company must be in construction or property-related, either operating solely in construction or having a dedicated department that provides services to the construction industry. - Kent-Based Operations
Your business must be based in Kent. Companies with a divisional office in Kent are also eligible, provided at least one company Director is based in that office. This ensures Kent-based businesses are best placed to benefit from local projects - Chamber Membership Requirement
You must be an Ignite Plus Member or above, of the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce.
The Kent Construction Focus Group (KCFG) is a one-stop shop for local businesses to discuss the future of Kent development, giving companies access to local knowledge, expertise and contracts. KCFG promotes the future role of Kent land development and construction businesses in the growth and development of Kent and its environment.
Hosted by members of the KCFG committee, Cheryl Causebrook and Ella Sandall Enjoy a Full English Breakfast at the Village Hotel, served from 7:30am, accompanied by speaker presentations and networking opportunities throughout the morning.

Camilla Maurice, Kent Invicta Chamber Of Commerce
Camilla leads the Kent and Medway Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) with strategic focus and a passion for collaborative impact. As Project Manager at the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, she works across sectors to connect employers, industry groups, and education providers, ensuring the region’s skills landscape evolves to meet economic demand.
She will provide the Construction Sector with an update on the recently published LSIP Progress Report, ahead of starting work on the new Local Skills Improvement Plan for Kent & Medway.
Martin Peat, MidKent College
Martin is a qualified accountant, and after starting his career in the private sector working for such companies as Mazda Cars UK and Unilever, he joined the Further Education sector. He has worked as an Executive Director of Finance and Estates for over 26 years, spending the last eight years at MidKent College. He has responsibility for health and safety and capital projects, as well as taking on the agenda for sustainability during the past four years.
His passion for all things green had grown in this time, and he is currently leading the major capital investment programme to remove the reliance on fossil fuels. This is a £16m project which is very near to completion. His background in both finance and property matters has helped to drive this project but also to chair the College sustainability committee to ensure a whole college approach to the green agenda.
