You must be based in Kent and In the Construction Industry to attend. Those that book to attend that do not fit this criteria will be contacted and a joining link will not be given/a refund issued.
The Kent Construction Focus Group (KCFG) is a one-stop-shop for local businesses to discuss the future of Kent development, giving companies access to local knowledge, expertise and contracts. KCFG promotes the future role of Kent land development and construction businesses in the growth and development of Kent and its environment.

Camilla Maurice, Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), Kent Invicta Chamber Of Commerce
Camilla is the Project Manager for the Kent and Medway Local Skills Improvement Plan at the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce. The Kent & Medway LSIP works with employers and employer representative groups to identify the local skills needs and solutions to address them in key sectors, in collaboration with the local education providers.
Camilla will update you on the recent Kent & Medway Local Skills Improvement Plan Progress Report, approved by the Department for Education. The report outlines the collaborative work achieved so far in the region in our priority sectors, which includes Construction, the activity planned with our stakeholders moving forwards and how businesses can get involved in continuing to shape the skills landscape in Kent & Medway.
Sam Perkins, East Kent Colleges Group
Sam heads up all Resourcing and People Development at East Kent Colleges Group and is looking to establish innovative solutions to the national FE Tutor shortage.
Sam will present to you a Graduate Scheme designed to attract newly qualified professionals into FE teaching with the opportunity to gain industry experience.
Ben Geering, Quinn Estates
Ben Geering is a highly experienced Development Director at Quinn Estates with over 20 years working in urban planning and strategic land and planning initiatives, as well driving forward significant projects that help shape sustainable communities.
In his role, Ben leads on significant infrastructure projects for Quinn Estates including Highsted Park, a successful planning application at Betteshanger Country Park, pioneering wetlands at Conningbrook Park in Ashford and addressing local development challenges held up by issues around nutrient neutrality.
Previous roles have included serving as Head of Planning at Folkestone & Hythe District Council, where he was the planning lead on major projects including the Folkestone Seafront and Harbour regeneration and Otterpool Park Garden Town.
Ben has a passion for the built environment and increasing social value through well-planned developments in places where people want to live, places that enhance the local communities and are supported by the right infrastructure at the right time.
