Sector Group Eligibility Rules
- Committee Review
All requests to participate in the sector group will be reviewed by the KCFG Committee for approval. - Sector Relevance
Your company must be in construction or property-related, either operating solely in construction or having a dedicated department that provides services to the construction industry. - Kent-Based Operations
Your business must be based in Kent. Companies with a divisional office in Kent are also eligible, provided at least one company Director is based in that office. This ensures Kent-based businesses are best placed to benefit from local projects - Chamber Membership Requirement
You must be an Ignite Plus Member or above, of the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce.
The Kent Construction Focus Group (KCFG) is a one-stop shop for local businesses to discuss the future of Kent development, giving companies access to local knowledge, expertise and contracts. KCFG promotes the future role of Kent land development and construction businesses in the growth and development of Kent and its environment.
Hosted by members of the KCFG committee, Cheryl Causebrook and Ella Sandall Enjoy a Full English Breakfast at the Mercure Tunbridge Hotel, served from 7:30am, accompanied by speaker presentations and networking opportunities throughout the morning.
This month’s guest speakers:
David Bedford, Director at DHA
David is a Director at DHA and leads a planning team working on a range of projects. He has a particular interest in residential projects, local plans and using his extensive knowledge and experience on all matters relating to the Green Belt and National Landscapes.
David has worked in the planning industry for 20 + years in a mix of local authority and private consultancy roles. He has an Undergraduate degree in Urban and Environmental Planning and a Post Graduate Diploma and Master’s degree in Town Planning. David’s areas of expertise include Green Belt/National Landscape development and Local Plan promotion.
Paul Lulham BA(Hons) MA(Oxon) MSc FCILT, Director at DHA
Paul is a transport planning professional with extensive public and private sector experience over his 17 years in the industry. As DHA’s Transport and Infrastructure Planning Director, Paul is responsible for the management and performance of a fast-growing area of the business and one of the South East’s leading independent transport planning practices. Paul is currently the South East Regional Chair of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) – for whom he holds a Fellowship – and is a well-respected expert witness and industry champion.
Claire Munns, Ecologia
Claire is a Principal Consultant at Ecologia and has over 13 years of experience in conducting land contamination risk assessments. She is a Chartered Scientist and a member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences.
Claire has extensive experience supporting clients through the planning process for all types of redevelopment projects. She has a particular interest in brownfield redevelopment and has worked on a diverse range of sites, including landfills, gas works, and industrial land. Her clients include contractors, developers and landowners.
