The Kent Construction Focus Group (KCFG) is a one-stop-shop for local businesses to discuss the future of Kent development, giving companies access to local knowledge, expertise and contracts. KCFG promotes the future role of Kent land development and construction businesses in the growth and development of Kent and its environment.

This months speakers include;

Lucy Druesne, Local Skills Improvement Programme (LSIP)

Local Skills Improvement Programme (LSIP) will be working to bring together Kent & Medway employers and key stakeholders to set out the priorities needed to ensure local provision is reflective of emerging skills needs. This is an opportunity for businesses in Kent & Medway to have a much stronger voice in local skills planning and ensuring the needs of business are at the heart of the skills system.

Lucy will have an opportunity to present what the survey launched in February is showing and playback the results and current analysis to identify the local needs and solutions to address them.

Sarah Collins, RIFT (R&D Tax Credits)

Sarah Collins is the Technical MD at RIFT R&D, with over 8 years experience working with companies that are carrying out R&D across multiple sectors and disciplines.

She specialises in the Construction sector ensuring that all R&D activities within this space are identified and maximised as part of a claim.

Sarah will be talking about Sustainability and changing building regs and what this can mean from an R&D perspective and the upcoming changes to the R&D scheme for SMEs.

Andrew Metcalf, Maxim – PR will be giving an Economic Update.
