Guest Speaker:

Dave Carter, Auditel

Dave is a former McKinsey consultant based in Maidstone, now supporting SMEs to tackle their sustainability challenges – whether it be working out where to start, how to measure and report your carbon footprint, making sure you’re compliant for your key suppliers and partners – or anything else in between.

Sustainability is a marmite subject but whether you love it or you hate it, it is becoming increasingly important in the construction space. Between main contractors now requiring subcontractors to be able to evidence their carbon footprint, specifiers needing to measure product emissions or organisations like the NHS, Highways England, HS2 requiring businesses to be able to produce a carbon reduction strategy, there are no shortage of sustainabilty focus areas that construction businesses need to be making progress on. In this session, we will cover at a high level what these trends look like, who they’re impacting and practical first steps business can take – no matter what size or shape to get the ball rolling.
