West Kent Mind is one of 135 local Mind associates affiliated to the national mental health charity Mind.   We are an independent charity and receive no funding from Mind – we work hard tirelessly to raise funds to benefit our local community. Our mission is to work with and on behalf of people with mental health problems, ensuring their fair and equal treatment and to promote better mental health for all.

Our Community Services include:

  • Community Wellbeing projects, including Creative Minds, Natural Ways to Wellbeing, Money Works, Mum’s Support Group, Music Group, Befriending and Nutrition Matters
  • Solace Café – drop-in café in Tonbridge
  • Supported Housing – two properties with 14 individual rooms, benefiting people with or recovering from a mental health illness
  • Counselling (affordable counselling service and private appointments)

Mental Health for Schools:

  • A whole school approach training staff, pupils and parents in mental health awareness. Training focuses on early intervention and imparts the skills and confidence to support children and young people experiencing mental health problems.
