Recycling tools to create livelihoods and reduce landfill.

Tools with a Mission operates a large-scale circular reuse model that diverts donated tools and equipment from landfill, refurbishing and redistributing them to support sustainable livelihoods in Sub-Saharan Africa. Supported by a national network of more than 500 volunteers, the organisation refurbishes and resells tools in the UK while supplying overseas partners with durable equipment that reduces reliance on new manufacturing and associated emissions.

Over decades of operation, the programme has prevented thousands of tonnes of materials from becoming waste and enabled the creation of long-term income opportunities for local communities.

Thank you Tools With A Mission (TWAM).

Your support has changed the face of our NGO, which started after the death of my children's father .I struggled to establish the Foundation, but in 2020 I was introduced to TWAM and in 2021 we invited the Impact Assessment Manager to our widows' lunch who pledged 10 sewing machines. In 2022 we received the sewing machines. The organization introduced skills and started the learning centre.

I thank God for TWAM, we have encouraged many widows and other women affiliated to the Foundation to register their own self-help groups as cooperatives; and we are sure many have accessed Tools from TWAM. We now make uniforms, lab coats, aprons, bags etc.

Thank You from Zambia.
