The Supported Employment Service (SES) aims to enhance, inspire, and empower disabled and disadvantaged individuals into sustainable employment.
- Support employers to become more Disability Confident and inclusive.
- Match jobseekers to real job roles based on skills, interests, and business needs.
- Support both the employer and the individual during onboarding and in-work, ensuring retention and success.
How We Engage with Employers
We work collaboratively with employers by:
- Offering 1:1 support to identify skills gaps, and recruitment needs.
- Promoting the Disability Confident Scheme – we support businesses at every stage (from Level 1 through Level 3) – This is a free service for all businesses across Kent.
- Supporting with job carving, adjustments, and workplace accessibility.
- Providing work trials, job coaching, and in-work support (for both clients and employers)
- Promoting inclusive hiring at employer events, job fairs, and networking groups.
- Delivering training sessions and awareness workshops on inclusive employment (free training can be provided for employers)

- Dedicated Employer Engagement Lead to manage relationships
- Free guidance on: Advertising inclusive roles, Reasonable adjustments, Interview support, In-work coaching, Retention strategies, Advice on Access to Work, job carving and tailored recruitment

We are leading on Connect to Work across Kent which is a UK-wide government backed programme designed to support individuals facing barriers into employment. It aims to connect people who are out of work with meaningful job opportunities by providing tailored support and strong employer partnerships. The goal is to bridge the gap between untapped talent and businesses who are ready to embrace a diverse and inclusive workforce.
