There’s a huge misconception that renewable heating only works for new builds and by creating successful installations for homes and businesses of all ages, styles and sizes, we’re dispelling that.

Heat pumps are an established and proven technology widely used in other countries and are already being used in homes and businesses across the UK. However, it is a fairly emerging market, despite UK Government incentives.

Solaris Energy has a real passion for this subject and want to support the growth of the heat pump market. With over 10 years’ experience in the heat pump industry, we have become trusted experts in this field, sitting on the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) working group for heat pumps.

The original installers disappeared within weeks of installation. Leaving behind an ASH system that kept failing because the pipework was all wrong and the cylinder was incorrect. I contacted Solaris who identified what the problems were and managed to keep the system working whilst I spent 18 months wrestling with the insurers to get them to pay the costs I had incurred keeping the system going and the cost of putting the original installation work right. IWA (the insurers) refused my claim twice with extremely flimsy excuses.
It looked as though I was going to have to bear the costs myself. I had many conversations with Solaris during this time they were always extremely helpful and professional. When I’d almost given up hope of resolving the nightmare, Dan Large of Solaris emailed IWA and took them to task about the shabby way they had treated me. Within a few days the insurers agreed to reimburse me and pay the costs for putting the ASH system right. The Solaris engineers spent four days doing this. They were highly professional at all times , I can’t praise them enough after what I’d been through. The office staff are always polite and pleasant and phone back when they say they will.

Solaris provided diagnostic services for a Ground Source Heat Pump system in my home which had not worked reliably since installation. Their engineer was professional and methodical in approach and had expert knowledge of heat pumps. The faults were identified and fixed. I can't recommend Solaris highly enough if you have a GSHP system.
