Founded in 2010, SunGod Solar Ltd (as it was originally known) set out to help people power their homes and businesses in a smarter, cleaner way. What started as a small solar panel business in Kent has grown into a trusted provider of complete renewable energy systems across the South East and Aberdeenshire.
In 2013, Jonathan Howes became a director of the company after subcontracting for several years. He introduced air source heat pumps to the business, followed by solar battery storage, EV chargers, and MVHR systems. Two years later, his brother joined the business and is now also a director, strengthening the family-owned nature of the company and its commitment to long-term customer relationships.
Today, SGS Energy is a one-stop shop for renewable energy solutions, offering in-house design, installation, and maintenance under one roof. Our team comprises specialist electricians and heating engineers, ensuring that every installation is carried out by qualified professionals in their respective fields. This joined-up approach allows us to work with homeowners, landlords, schools, nursing homes, commercial property owners, councils, hospitals (the list goes on…), providing the same dependable service across very different settings.
