As a company, Reginald Ames can trace it’s origins back to 1910, where the purchase of tea was signed for by one “Mr Reginald Ames” at the London Tea Auctions.

For over 100 years our core business has never changed.  Buying, selling, contract packing and blending of the best quality tea and infusions is still at the heart of what we do.

As the business expanded over the years, we moved to new locations around London, settling in Bermondsey for several years. Then in 2012, we moved to our current location Tonbridge, Kent.

We now work with some of the biggest catering, hoteliers and private tea brands not only in the UK and Europe but the world. We also supply many privately owned tea shops and cafes up and down the country. (The chances are you have drunk our tea very recently).

As we look to the future, we believe customers are demanding more awareness of where their food and drink comes from. We are dedicated to always sourcing our teas from ethical and sustainable sources and businesses that abide by internationally agreed best practices for workers and the environment. We have a multitude of certificates for the tea that we supply and we operate a very stringent quality control system that allows tracing all tea that passes through the business.
