The One Maidstone Business Imoprovement District works on behalf of the businesses in MaidstoneTown Centre, who voted us in in 2023.

We are a business-led, not for profit organisation working on behalf of the businesses in Maidstone Town Centre to improve the town centre for both businesses and the
public. Our work around Safety, Security, Events and Promotions ensure our town is a vibrant, safe, and enjoyable place to work, live, shop, dine and entertain. Our new term began in October 2023, and sees the continuation of many services and projects, and the introduction of new ones.

We carry out services such as Ambassador patrols seven days a week, a radio security network, as well as live monitoring the town centre’s CCTV cameras. We have provided the Christmas lights installation and switch on event since 2019, carry out aesthetic projects such as floral planters and undertake regular deep cleans, above those which fall to the standard duties of Maidstone Borough Council. We promote businesses with a variety of marketing campaigns and create and fund plus support many town centre events.

We are very thankful for the support we received from the Ambassador Tema from shoplifting to ASB issues, they are always a stones throw away and will always deal with the situation in hand with so much professionalism. It’s clear to see how dedicated and passionate they are about there job roles within One Maidstone.

Without your efforts the town would not be as safe, and less crime would be detected, reported and resolved. The perpetrators would likely take longer to be caught and arrested, and the victims would feel less supported and more vulnerable.

It is always a pleasure to work alongside One Maidstone to amplify what we do at the Hazlitt Theatre as well as the joint projects we have worked on to do the same for the wider Maidstone community. One Maidstone also does a fabulous job on promoting local businesses. Not only do they support promoting local businessese but they also provide great training and our Marketing team have personally been enriched by the social media training. In addition to this we cannot say how helpful their quarterly Marketing meetings have been in sharing information with our marketing community and supporting us to grow stronger links with other businesses so we all flourish.
