Heart of Kent Hospice

We have been providing exceptional care to people living with a terminal illness in Maidstone, Aylesford, Tonbridge, Malling and surrounding areas since 1991. Since the Hospice opened we have cared for over 60,000 people – patients, their carers and families, offering not just clinical support but also emotional, spiritual and social care too. Every year we care for over 1,800 patients and their loved ones with a terminal illness.

The Hospice has built an excellent reputation within the local community for the quality of our care which has been further endorsed by the Care Quality Commission who gave the Hospice an overall rating of Outstanding following an inspection in February 2017. Many people tell us of the difference we have made by making every day precious at the most difficult of times. Our care is local, free and is offered to everyone who needs it.

Last year we cared for over 1,700 patients and their families. Our services cost £5 million a year to run, with over £4 million raised through the generosity of our local community.
