Daryl was bought into the company that I work at, to help with a backlog of finance tasks due to the impact of Covid Lockdowns.

His professional approach and strong accounting knowledge were the reasons why we bought him in as a Contractor.

Daryl quickly understood how the finances of the Company worked, and the approach that was needed for the 'industry and it's accounting requirement.

One of the main areas that he initially worked on was Balance Sheet Reconciliations for Audit Preparation, and investigation into Profit and Loss entries. This meant that he worked closely with the Company's Auditors to ensure that Audit Deliverables were dealt with, and the Audit was completed.

We also asked him to look at processes and procedures and see where improvements could be made. Part of this was strong partnering with all Heads of Department, to check that accounting entries were correct for the financial year.

Daryl worked closely with the Director/Owner of the Company to set up best practice for the Finance Department, and in turn the Company as a whole.

He also worked with all members of the Finance Team to ensure tasks were completed in a timely fashion, and that the back log was dealt with.

Daryl's strong accounting knowledge, plus his partnering and consultative skills, means that we would work with him again, and would be first on our list if we needed a Contractor again.
