ellenor’s Newly-Refurbished Cafe Is Open To All

If you’re zipping up or down the A2, need a coffee to go, a tasty lunch, meeting place or short pit stop, ellenor Cafe is open.

The Cafe at ellenor has been revamped, offering a modern, inviting space for visitors to enjoy delicious food and drinks – while supporting hospice care.

Café on the Green is now a a larger, welcoming space with tables and chairs indoors as well as outside, where visitors can enjoy sitting in our lovely garden, weather permitting.

The café is open not just to patients and their families, but everyone in the community for a lunch, coffee with friends, takeaway cake, or even a small business meeting.

It’s located just beyond the reception area of our Northfleet hospice in Coldharbour Road – just a few minutes from the A2 at Gravesend, so easy to pop into.

The team works hard to lovingly prepare all food fresh on the premises. Visitors can choose from a tempting menu of hot lunches, toasties, sandwiches, delicious cakes, and hot and cold drinks.

Open from 10am – 2pm, Monday to Friday, café visitors can also pre-order (essential) and collect one of our specially created seasonal treat boxes, which make lovely gifts:

• Mother’s Day single box – £17.50/sharing box – £27.50
• Easter box – £10
• Father’s Day box – £17.50

Free wifi is also available to those who need to stay connected.

Amanda Jordan, Catering & Housekeeping Supervisor, comments, “We’re so proud of our new café which is a lovely place to enjoy a cup of tea or bite to eat. The catering team puts so much love into what they do and it really shows in the quality of the food on offer.

“We want it to be used not just as somewhere to eat and drink, but as a hub for connection and an easy, meaningful way to support our work. Anyone can pop in, without the need to book, and enjoy a leisurely lunch, small meeting or a takeaway treat.

“It’s a very easy way to support ellenor and we’re hoping this fabulous makeover will entice even more people to give it a try and make it a regular spot. Every cup of coffee or slice of cake enjoyed here helps us support our patients and their families when they need us.”
