This month’s guest speakers:

Ricky Hemmings, Remediology (SE) Limited

Remediology (SE) Limited is a Kent based soil stabilisation contractor, carrying out in situ mixing of lime and/or cement binders to modify or strengthen soil to a required performance standard. Suitable for development platforms, piling mats, and capping and sub base replacement, on commercial, residential, and public sector projects across the south east.  This process offers real savings on traditional construction methods by replacing offsite soil disposal and imported aggregate with a technically approved soil re-use method, with significant environmental benefits alongside the commercial gains from value engineered solutions.

St John Harvey, Canterbury Archaeological Trust

St John Harvey is Head of Business Development at Canterbury Archaeological Trust (CAT), one of the UK’s leading Professionally Registered (CIfA) full-service archaeological and heritage consultancy-contractors working with the construction and development sectors.

CAT supports developers, contractors, architects and professional teams across the sector to identify, manage and discharge archaeology and heritage‑related planning conditions, helping projects progress from planning through to delivery without unnecessary delay and added costs. Working closely with its clients in a consultative as well as hands-on practical way, CAT provides pragmatic, commercially focused solutions that reduce risk, avoid programme slippage and, crucially, give planning authorities the confidence to sign off conditions promptly. CAT operates across Kent, the South East and beyond and provides trusted, compliant and cost‑effective services to the construction sector.

In his role, St John is responsible new client acquisition, client partnerships and early engagement, ensuring archaeology is dealt with proactively rather than reactively so that construction programmes stay on track and consents are discharged as smoothly as possible to the benefit of its clients’ projects.
