How To Get The Best Photography Using The Gear Kit In Your Back Pocket
Representing Chris Henry Photography, a fortnight ago I gave one of the inaugural presentations of the Synergy Networking Events ‘Academy’ livestreams, entitled ‘Scroll-Stopping Photos Using Just Your Mobile Phone’. These live-streams are recorded on LinkedIn for all to view freely, and feature industry experts teaching aspects of their subject matter expertise.
In an hour-long session, I gave a practicable training session on getting the very best out of a mobile phone’s camera, demonstrating how little in photography depends on the gear that’s used. Instead, as I elaborate upon, it’s much more important to understand how one’s kit works, before concentrating on two key aspects of photography: framing and storytelling.
What I Covered
- Why good photography is now more important than ever
- A familiarisation with your camera’s basic settings – know what your gear can and can’t do
- The ability to frame your subject perfectly so they are always at the forefront of your image
- Why storytelling is so important to good photography, and how you can start telling your own visual tales
The livestream was presented in part to launch my photography classes and workshops, about which you can find out more here. If, having watched the free video, you’d like to learn more about how you can take better photos with whatever gear you have, please just get in touch!
The whole training session can be viewed for free on my blog here, whilst new Academy sessions can be found on the Synergy Networking Events LinkedIn page here. Do have a look, and I’d love to see your before and after photos having watched it!
