Volunteers Needed To Help With Renovation Of Garden For Visually Impaired

2nd October 2019
Nicola Wood

Here at Kent Association for the Blind we are excited to have been awarded a grant to renovate our garden at our Sight Centre in Canterbury.  The garden is looking a little tired and is in need of a revamp.  It would be great to once again be able to offer our visually impaired clients a space to sit and chat as well as to somewhere to relax in a comfortable and calming environment.

Are there are any Kent businesses who would like to help us to turn this vision into a reality? Do you have Staff Away Days or Team Building events to plan?  Or do you allow staff to volunteer a few days each year?  Whether it’s digging, weeding, lifting and planting or even making the tea or sweeping, everyone is welcome to join in.

We are celebrating our centenary next year, so this is a perfect time for us to have the garden looking it’s best, so we can host events and gatherings during our special year. Volunteers should contact Kent Association for the Blind on 01622 691357 or enquiry@kab.org.uk

Thanking you in advance for any help you can offer.
