Keep Active At Work With Kent Sport’s Free Activity Tracker

The average UK worker spends more than 8 hours a day sitting down (whether that’s at a desk or on the sofa) and 1 in 4 of us are doing less than 30 minutes of activity a week. This level of physical inactivity is having a detrimental effect on our health, causing 1 in 6 deaths in the UK (the same as smoking).

To encourage you to keep active at work, Kent Sport invite you and your colleagues to sign up to their free Activity Tracker.

Why? Because people who are physically active (achieving the recommended 150 minutes of moderately intense activity per week), can reduce their risk of more than 20 chronic diseases, including a 20% reduced risk of depression.

It’s easy to sign up to the Activity Tracker and find out if you’re achieving the recommended 150 minutes of moderately intense activity per week:

  • Sign up for free today
  • Log your daily activities
  • Connect to wearable Apps: FitBit, Strava, GoogleFit
  • Earn activity points towards local challenges
  • View your daily, weekly, monthly achievements including totals for distance, steps, calories and CO2 saved.

In addition to logging and tracking your daily activities, you’re also invited to take part in Kent Sport’s 8 week ‘EveryDay Active’ Challenge and be in with a chance of winning some great prizes.

The 8 week challenge runs from 7 January 2019 – 4 March 2019. To take part, all you have to do is sign up to the Activity Tracker and start logging a minimum of 10 minutes of activity every day from 7 January. This can be anything from a walk to the shops, a pre/post-work jog, a game of football with mates, cycling to/from work, a walk in the park with the family or a swim in your local pool. Regular bite-sized chunks of 10 minutes of activity throughout the working day can help to improve mood, boost concentration, increase productivity and improve communication amongst colleagues.

The challenge is to log some form of activity, every day. The more activity you log, the more points you’ll earn. All participants will be entered into our everyday active prize draw for some great prizes, including FitBit Alta watches, store vouchers, workplace goodies.
