Accountants, business and financial advisers Kreston Reeves has today announced that it has hired 32 new students across its offices in London, Sussex and Kent.
This new intake of trainee accountants and financial advisers includes a mix of GCSE, A-level students, graduates and those on industrial placements, who will all embark on the firm’s award winning training programme.
The students will be studying under Kreston Reeves’ new apprenticeship scheme for a range of training programmes including ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA), Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), Association of Taxation Technicians ATT), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and Certificate in Finance and Business (CFAB) qualifications.
15 students will be based in the firm’s offices in Kent, 11 in Sussex and the remaining six in Kreston Reeves’ London office.
This record breaking student intake comes in a year where the firm has achieved the apprenticeship ‘Employee Training Provider’ status for its graduate and non-graduate training programme. Kreston Reeves remains just one of three UK accountancy firms, and the only mid-sized firm, to hold this coveted status, making it an attractive organisation for aspiring accountants and financial advisers wishing to begin their careers.
Richard Heasman, HR Partner at Kreston Reeves said:
“We are thrilled to welcome this record number of trainees to our firm, especially in such a competitive climate in which many firms struggle to attract and hire talent. The addition of such a large pool of fresh talent and perspectives makes the firm well equipped to continue to grow and develop, and provide the highest quality client service to its clients across the region.
“We welcome all new employees and look forward to working with them towards an exciting future for themselves and the firm.”
In August this year Kreston Reeves was shortlisted for the ‘Graduate and Non-Graduate Programme of the Year’ award at the prestigious British Accountancy Awards alongside global giants McDonalds Restaurants and KPMG. The award winners will be announced in October 2017. The firm was also a finalist in the ‘Employer of the year’ category at the 2016 Kent Excellence in Business awards (KEiBA), and as ‘Training Team of the Year’ at the 2014 British Accountancy Awards.
Kreston Reeves has offices in London, Brighton, Canterbury, Chatham, Chichester, Discovery Park Sandwich, Eastbourne, Gatwick, Horsham and Worthing.
