This workshop will look at how a shop, café, restaurant or other independent retailer can transform its trading, customer experience and grow using AI and data.
Denise Brown, from Molly Moon Ice Cream in Seattle, United States, will talk and answer questions about how she used data and AI to help transform the business, increase sales, customer visit frequency and change the behaviour of staff and customers. Denise will present the Molly Moon case study – held up by Microsoft as an example of why AI and comprehensive data analysis techniques will transform all types of independent retail in the next few years.
Also presenting will be Dr James Bentham, Lecturer in Statistics, from the University’s School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science.
The University of Kent and Canterbury City Council are hosting this event at the Picture House in Ashford. All types of independent retailers are welcome – the principles of data and AI are relevant to shops selling shoes, crafts, ice cream or cafes and record shops.
