I have advised small businesses since the late 1980s, making them leaner, more efficient, more Productive and so much more profitable. I have also worked for large consultancies, learning the various tools & techniques on how to change people, businesses, technology and processes, to be more efficient / productive and work much better together, for example getting much more out of your current staff, retraining them to be more productive without working longer.
Initially l undertake a 1 hour interview with a Small Business Owner or Director, from which l can diagnose the benefits / costs / value of changing the business and then how to make it more profitable.
I have also helped to sell over 20 businesses, often after one of my Change Management programs and make sure the business can operate without the current owners and to make the business more profitable before it is sold. As most businesses sell on a multiple of annual profits, such as 6, 7 or 8 times the annual profits, l make the business much more profitable before the sale, this can dramatically enhance the actual sales value of the business. All the businesses l have sold have sold for over 10, 12, 15 times the historic profits.
I am a partly-qualified accountant, have 3 degrees and am a Prince2 Practitioner in Project Management.
