The Fetcher Dog ‘Doggy Day Event’ Took Place Recently And Proved To Be A Huge Success

22nd August 2023
Paul Connor

The Fetcher Dog ‘Doggy Day Event’ took place on the 20th August, 11-3 at the Evegate Business, Retail and Artisan Village.

It was a huge success with hundreds of visitors, there were many new faces to the charity, but also previous adopters came along to support us, accompanied by their Fetcher Dog dogs, bringing back some nice memories and emotional moments.

We had twenty stalls selling the very best in dog related items, children’s rides and a number of professionally run dog competitions and demonstrations that ran throughout the event. There was also a dog agility course that proved popular for the dogs, raffles, tombolas, jumbles sales, face painting and Simply Ice Cream treats that proved very popular with the humans.

We raised £1850 on the day and we would like to thank Molly from the Evegate Business, Retail and Artisan Village for hosting and helping to set up the event, all the volunteers who gave of their time and their expertise, all the stallholders, all the companies that donated items for the raffle, all the visitors who supported us with their involvement and money and, of course, all the dogs.

Paul from Fetcher Dog writes:

‘”This was a well run, educational and  fun dog-related event and we are very appreciative of everyone that attended and all the volunteers that gave of their time and their expertise.

“Events like these form part of our local community engagement programme which aims to raise awareness of the charity and the work we do to support and protect dogs in both Bosnia and the UK.

“If you would like to support or partner with us to put on an event please do not hesitate to contact me at paul.connor@fetcherdog.com”
