Mental Health Charity Supported By Dartford Amazon Team

The team from Amazon’s fulfilment centre in Dartford has made a £1,000 donation to a charity supporting better mental health across North Kent.

North Kent Mind ensures that no-one faces a mental health problem alone and promotes better mental health knowledge in the community. The charity provides services including supported housing, low-cost counselling, talking therapies and mental health education initiatives.

The donation from Amazon in Dartford will go towards arranging courses to prepare individuals for the workplace.

Speaking on the donation, John McEwen, Site Leader at Amazon in Dartford, said:

“The work North Kent Mind does in our community is a fantastic help to those who use its services. We’re pleased to support the staff, volunteers and service users with this donation.”

Sonia Singh, an employee from Amazon in Dartford who nominated the charity for support, added:

“Thanks to Amazon in Dartford for supporting North Kent Mind. This donation will be welcomed by the team and will support efforts to ensure everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.”

The donation to North Kent Mind was made as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities in and around its operating locations across the UK.
