Rap Interiors Cater For Albion Fine Foods

Albion Fine Foods, suppliers of produce and ingredients to the catering industry, relocated their warehouse and offices from Tonbridge to a brand-new industrial unit in Dartford.

Albion Fine Foods approached Rap Interiors with a design for their industrial fit out and required the expertise of our interior designers and project managers to develop their design, and execute the works. They sought a bright, fresh and modern space for their staff to work in, including a large open plan office on the first floor and an extensive open plan dining and breakout space on the ground floor.  Other spaces within the project included staff washrooms, a large breakout area, a tea point, a servery, a commercial tasting kitchen, meeting rooms and a boardroom.

A bespoke raised platform area was created to house relaxed banquet seating and coffee tables. The platform, combined with the surrounding bar stools and poseur tables, create a versatile variation of heights. This approach has added additional visual impact to what is an open plan dining space.

Incorporating biophilic elements within the workspace is an ever-growing trend within the commercial sectors.  Either side of the raised platform, dividing panels were placed made from recycled metal, plexiglass and troughs for foliage containment. The interior design team incorporated Albion’s branded colours throughout each room, using fresh shades of green paired with complimentary mustard and grey tones.

In the tasting kitchen, commercial grade kitchen equipment with white wall tiles keep this space looking crisp and professional, whilst ensuring ease of maintenance and cleanliness is achieved.  Elegant green stools stand in stark contrast to the modern anthracite wood effect tasting bar.

For the ground floor washroom spaces, our interior designers were able to replicate the designs of the existing first floor facilities, bringing continuity across the two floors.

Staff are guided to their new office space via a walkway, featuring wood slats and their company logo on a stand-off Perspex sign. Our office interior designers worked with the client to maximise the desk capacity of this floor through detailed space planning whilst still retaining the all-important break away zones.

The boardroom consists of a large barrel shape bespoke table and includes integrated power, eye-catching chairs and has been finished in corporate representative fabric.  The Acupanel wall accommodates a recessed screen and sound bar which in turn creates a focal point within the room.

Rap procured a variety of furniture solutions at varying heights to offer staff flexible working points and enable collaborative get-togethers with feature pendant lighting above. Private virtual meeting booths offer hybrid working solutions.  The variety of furniture installed throughout the space has expertly created visual zones.

The industrial fit out has provided our clients with an impressive and inviting space, not only for employees but clients too.  This project was delivered successfully and within the client’s intended budget and timeframe.
