What Does Mental Burn Out Look Like?
I’m about to give a crystal clear picture of what mental burnout looks like and it’s not what you think:
- Mental burnout is often the one people don’t want to associate themselves with Because it can be deemed quite ugly
I will put my hand up here and go first… I have experienced this… A LOT in the past
When you are mentally burned out you are going to be showing signs of
- Being Irritable
- Withdraw from society
- Have a loss of belief in others and the world
- Being Negative to or having an inappropriate attitude towards others
Well at least that’s what a study by Christina Maslach – Berkeley and Michael P.Leiter Acadia University
But how does that show up for YOU in the real world?
- You might
- Have angry outbursts
- Be overly judgemental
- You are being overly negative
- Be fighting with loved ones/friends
- You see mainly the bad in everyone
- Isolate yourself or choose to stay indoors
- Have chest palpitations through feeling angry and uptight
- You are being sceptical and paranoid that people are out to get you
Told you, not nice is it, but it’s OK! (zero judgement here).
