Public consultation on the St Dunstan’s and Westgate Towers environmental improvements and traffic management changes has started. The consultation runs until Monday 15 October. There is an online survey to complete and hard copies are available by calling 01227 862568.
Information flyers to promote the consultation are being delivered to around 7,000 homes in the north Canterbury area, and there will also be details in council offices.
The trial began at the end of March and will run for a year. It features major changes to the road layout in the St Dunstan’s area and the pedestrianisation of the Westgate Towers, and aims to protect and preserve the towers, improve air quality in the area and provide a better link between St Dunstan’s and the city centre.
If you have a view on the trial, please complete the survey and encourage your friends and family to do the same. It’s important we get the most accurate gauge of public opinion.
