Around £25 million of competitive funding in innovative low carbon automotive projects has been announced by Innovate UK and the Department for Business.
The funding will be delivered through the Advanced Propulsion Centre, which was set up in 2013 to facilitate access to funding for producers of low carbon propulsion systems and help them bring their ideas to market. The competition is open to collaborative development projects which have at least one smaller firm as a partner, last from 18 to 42 months and have total eligible costs ranging from £5 million to £40 million.
