Rotary Club of Chatham Calls for Participation in its Charity Walk
Rochester, Kent, 8 August 2011- The Rotary Club of Chatham is inviting the Medway Community to participate in its “Walk for a Healthy Medway” on October 9th 2011. Schools, communities, associations, charity groups and clubs are invited to participate in this philanthropic event. All proceeds will go to charity projects.
“Chatham Rotary Club is glad to hold this walk following the success of last year’s event, when more than £5,000 was raised and was donated to Clic Sargent. Our theme for this year is “Walk for a Healthy Medway”. We are delighted that Cllr. Ted Baker, and his wife, Mayoress Sylvia will be joining us at the starting point to support the event and to encourage the participants. It will be a 7km Walk starting and finishing at Dickens’s World-Chatham Outlet Centre and overlooking the panoramic views of the River Medway. ” said Dr. Ravi Vibhuti, President Rotary Club of Chatham. “The funds that will be raised this year will go to support Charities and organizations that have a direct benefit to Children. All interested charities are encouraged to get in contact with the club.
Visit the Club’s website www.chathamrotary.org.uk and blog http://rotarychathamuk.wordpress.com/ for an update and to know more about the Club and its activities”, added Dr. Ravi.
