Maidstone Tourist Association next meeting
In the early nineties the Maidstone Chamber of Commerce created a Marketing Maidstone – Town & Country group with Maidstone Borough Council and leading venues and hotels to jointly promote an area greater than the borough.
Last year that group along with Maidstone Town Centre Management created Maidstone Tourism Association under Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce. The website www.maidstonetourismassociation.co.uk provides all the information. Ex Maidstone President and/or Chairman for 8 years, Alan Reading is the Chairman and Laura Dickson the Vice Chair.
A few times a year there is an opportunity to network with MTA but you don’t have to be a MTA member to come along. The next meeting is at All Saints Church, Mill Street, Maidstone on Tuesday 11th September at 3.00pm with a special guest presentation from Explore Kent. There will be an opportunity to find out more about the rural attractions of the area and network with other industry members including a guided tour of this historic and very interesting building in the heart of Maidstone. The Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Rodd Nelson-Gracie will be our guest of honour.
