US Market Visit from 15-21 September 2012
The United States has the largest and most technologically powerful economy in the world, is the UK’s top export destination and second largest trading partner. Goods and services from the UK enjoy a great reputation for quality in the US. Kent County Council and its partners are organising a market visit to the East Coast of the USA to help local businesses access opportunities in the US.
Kent County Council and its partners are organising a market visit which is aimed primarily at businesses in the pharma, bio-tech, life sciences & environmental technology sectors but it could be valuable for companies from other industry sectors too.
The itinerary will include:
• Fairfax County, Virginia – a centre of commerce, trade and the technology hub of the east coast of the USA.
• Great Richmond, Virginia – home to some of the world’s most successful businesses from biotechnology research to finance & insurance
• Boston, Massachusetts – home of several world-class universities and cutting-edge medical facilities, Boston has a vibrant economy and broad base of support industries.
