LOW COST, HIGH IMPACT MARKETING
How does a local business reach thousands of people with its product or service without spending £ 1,000’s in advertising? Successful advertising, or to be more precise, marketing, is all about getting your message to the right people in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Kent Invicta Chamber members are being given the chance to do just that. They are being offered the first bite of a very tasty cherry indeed – the opportunity to become business supporters of the Ashford Play Festival. With sponsorship packages from as little as £ 250, local businesses will have a unique opportunity to secure high impact marketing on a focused and relevant local platform.
Central to the town’s calendar since 1923, this summer’s event replaces the former carnival and promises to be very different to all that has gone before, mainly because the street festival is being staged by Ashford Go4Play for the first time. This exciting initiative is a Big Lottery-funded project run in partnership by the Ashford-based Kent Children’s Fund Network and Ashford Borough Council.
On Sunday 11th July the entire town centre will be transformed into a festival of street play, with skateboarding, street dance, drama and music, as well as rows of stalls running the length of the High Street and
“This is going to be one great big celebration of play” says Joel who is organising the event. “We are talking about the kind of play that children used to enjoy before the world became a more complex place – street games with lots of water and lots of laughter. It will be a good old fashioned family day out.”
Business sponsorship packages are offered as Gold, Silver or Bronze. Only one Gold package is available though, since this will give unique primacy to that company in all publicity and marketing and an optimum location on the day to promote itself as a local business that takes its Corporate Social Responsibility seriously.
Silver and bronze sponsorships provide opportunities for business and sole proprietors to exhibit and sell (subject to them securing appropriate licenses) to the thousands of towns-people who will attend, as well as obtain the kudos of association in pre-publicity and festival day literature.
