I attended the Womens Networking Lunch at Chilston Park. This was my first Womens Lunch and I was looking forward to the experience. You notice the difference between mixed Networking Events and Womens Networking Events almost immediately, the volume in the reception room was much louder and everyone was talking straight away, even those who had not attended an event before. No puns regarding women and talking please!
We ate in the Orangery at Chilston Park, which is a lovely decorated conservatory room. Thank you to Carol Morton of Ashford Borough Council, Emma Moore and Alex Ledger from Clydesdale Bank and all the other women on my table for providing me with some educational, interesting and fun conversations. Id especially like to thank Kim Rose from Water for Work for making me feel very comfortable and also Kelly Stanford from Water for Work, for not making me the only person there that didn’t eat fish!
It was nice to see some non-members at the event, Susan Iwanek of Remap and Charlotte Harris of Buss Murton Solicitors to name a few.
The speakers left me feeling very jealous of their job - jetting off to nice warm countries to find suitable locations for property, and made me want to invest in a holiday home(one day!)
I very much enjoyed this event and found the atmosphere very relaxing yet productive and hope to attend more of these in the future. My networking keeps getting better as I learn more at every event.
I guess all I have left to say is can you do better Kim and Amanda next week?
