Tonbridge Castle BNI Breakfast 12th February

Posted on Thursday 12th February, 2009 by

An early start for me today to attend the womens visitors day at Tonbridge Castle Chapter of BNI.  I really enjoy networking and find the differences in how BNI run networking a refreshing change to our events.  While the Chamber has a more relaxed approach to networking the BNI chapters take a business minded approach to active networking that we canall learn some thing from.

Chamber networking events are really taking a turn for the better lately, with our membership enjoying the relaxed and friendly approach we take to networking events.  From my view we are offering up a service to our members which suits their styke well.  We can at Chamber though learn something from the BNI model.  For the next event you attend make it your point to meet and greet new members and why not bring along a non-member to have a taste of networking in the Chamber.  Chamber membership staff are always on hand to offer advice on the Chamber and we are actively looking at all aspects of how the Chamber performs, so seek out you Chamber representative at the next event and pick our brains for tips on making the most of your Chamber membership.

The relationship between KICC and the other networking organisations out there is improving all the time.  Our Chamber membership can only become stronger through reaching out and diversifying a little in our networking.  So the next time you have the chance to Get Involved!  Bring friends and non-members along to our events, let the membership team know you are introducing new friends to us so we can offer up support and advice where needed.

My last words on this morning should go to my hosts today, Mark K-P of Sycamore Design and Dave Barnett of IC Business Solutions my Twitter pals kindly made the introduction for me to attend this morning.  Mark of Sonnex was as ever a friendly welcoming table mate for the event and I sincerely hope my talk on the Chamber was well received.  Many thanks to all the members on Tonbridge BNI who made me feel so welcome, and made some valuable introductions to me also.

If any members have any further questions regarding my networking experiences please feel free to contact me kim@kentinvictachamber.co.uk

It is now well past my bed time so I am signing off for the evening.

Remeber all you Twitterers out there you can follow the Chamber with the KICC twitterings
